Vocalist Femke Smit is Dutch, but she sings Brazilian music as if she were born in Brasil. Perhaps it was a past life, perhaps it is pure coincidence, but when she sings Brazilian music, she feels at home. Every winter, she travels to Rio de Janeiro to immerse herself in Brazilian music and culture for months. Together with her band, she pays tribute tonight to iconic Brazilian female singers and composers. A concert that raises the temperatures and soothes Brazilian saudades.
