Berliner Philharmoniker Ensembles

The Berliner Philharmoniker Ensembles series this season is dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven, whose death anniversary will be commemorated in 2027. His 'Große Fuge' showcases overwhelming modernity and expressiveness. Felix Mendelssohn, shortly after Beethoven's death, composed his Opus 13, referencing music from his great predecessor, including the 'Große Fuge'. The program opens with Beethoven's humorous side, featuring the Serenade in D major and the duet with two obligate glasses.
